What a VPN does — and what it doesn't
Privacy tools are easy to oversell. Here is the honest version, so you can decide whether SkyPath is worth installing.
What it does. A VPN builds an encrypted tunnel between your phone and a server. Your mobile carrier, your internet provider, and whoever runs the Wi-Fi you joined can see that you are connected, but not which sites you open. The sites you visit see the server's IP address instead of yours.
What it doesn't do. A VPN is not anonymity. It does not block every tracker, and it cannot hide you from an account you sign into. If a service already knows who you are, routing your traffic elsewhere will not change that.
You do not have to take our word for any of this. Run the IP address lookup and the DNS leak test before and after you connect, and compare the results yourself.

Is SkyPath really free?
Yes. SkyPath is free to download and free to use. There is no trial, no paywall, and no feature held back for a paid tier. If we ever add optional paid features, we will label them clearly and never charge you without explicit consent.
Do I need an account to use SkyPath?
No. SkyPath never asks for an email address, a phone number, or a password. Install the app, tap Connect, and you are on. There is no profile to link your activity to, because we do not create one.
Does SkyPath log my browsing?
No. We do not log the sites you visit, your DNS queries, or the contents of your traffic. We keep only the minimum connection metadata needed to operate the service, and we do not tie it to your real identity. Our Privacy Policy spells out exactly what that means.
Will SkyPath slow down my connection?
Every VPN adds some overhead. SkyPath uses WireGuard, a modern protocol that is significantly faster and lighter than older ones such as OpenVPN, so for most people on most connections the difference is hard to notice.
Which Android versions does SkyPath support?
Android 7.0 (Nougat) and later, on both phones and tablets. iOS and desktop builds are not available yet.
Does SkyPath show ads?
Ads are disabled by default and are not shown in the current release. If we ever enable them, they will be quiet, clearly separated from your content, and never injected into your VPN traffic.
Is using a VPN legal?
In most countries, using a VPN for everyday privacy and browsing is completely legal. A few countries restrict or regulate it. Following the laws that apply where you are is your responsibility.

Do I need the VPN app to use the tools?
No. The web tools are free and work on any connection, with or without SkyPath VPN. The app and the tools share one platform, but each stands on its own.
